Ever since discovering my dad’s “old” camera, I was hooked. “Old” isn’t the right word, as it was released in 2018, but he never used it. So, as far as I’m concerned, it’s mine now.

I own a Nikon Z6 with a Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens.
The Z6 is a highly capable camera able to take stunning pictures and high-quality videos. I use the Z6 for everything from eclipse photography to making a DIY photobooth.
The 24-70mm lens is able to zoom out to 24mm, which is equal to a 1x zoom on most phones, and can zoom in to 70mm, comparable to a 3x zoom on phones.
Mics
In videography, good audio is more important than good video. I own various microphones for my camera.
Lavalier

I use the DJI Mic 3, a tiny-yet-versatile wireless lavalier microphone able to record on my camera, phone, computer, or its internal storage.
A lavalier microphone picks up audio close to the speaker, typically attached to the speaker’s clothing. This, in contrast to a shotgun microphone, is able to capture clear audio in noisy enviorments.
Shotgun
I bought the Movo VXR10 because it was a cheap improvement to make on my camera’s built in microphones.
A shotgun microphone, despite its name, has nothing to do with weaponry. It typically sits on top of the camera, aimed at the speaker to capture audio without the need for an individual microphone on each speaker.
Accessories
Aside from microphones, I own a few other accessories for my camera.
- RGB lights
- Remote trigger
- Detachable strap
